It depends on the early age, gender, smoking status and your choice of the coverage.
The premiums are higher if you are:
Older
Smoker
Female
It is any condition which existed before the policy issue date or date of any reinstatement (if applicable) of this policy and for which:
(a) symptoms of the condition existed that would cause an ordinarily prudent person to seek diagnosis, care of treatment; or
(b) medical advice or treatment was recommended by or received from a Medical Practitioner; or
(c) the insured person has undergone medical test or investigations.
It matters because Great Eastern will not pay the cancer benefit for claims that are directly or indirectly caused by, or result from a pre-existing condition.
You can contact Great Eastern Customer Service (1800-248-2888) to make any changes to your coverage. To upgrade your coverage, you need to note on the following:
You can only upgrade to a higher coverage within the first policy anniversary;
Re-declare your health conditions; and
You won't be able to claim for the first 90 days upon upgrade (for the increased coverage portion).
You will only get your money back in full if you cancel the plan within 14-day free-look period starting from the day you receive your policy documents. You will be notified via SMS and email when the policy document is ready.

No, you will not get any refund if you don't make a claim. This helps us to make this plan more affordable. We do have plans that you can get a refund if you don't claim, but they are more expensive.
You cannot make a claim within the first 90 days from the policy issue date or the date of reinstatement of the policy.
If the claim is caused by pre-existing conditions, alcohol or drug abuse, or any congenital anomaly or defect, the claim is not payable.
